Christmas is gone and done with lets hope we can keep the feeling still for 2010

So as for all of us Christmas is done and we are all cleaning up from it. Here are some things I have heard from my family members why they are happy that Christmas is over.

my dad "I am glad that Christmas is done because I will not hear , "you can't watch that we need to wrap.""

My mom " I dont have to wrap anymore gifts."

Me, " no more going to the mall and spend way tomuch for others and my kids."

So i only can remember a few from those long nights of enjoyment but it was a lot of fun to see what people got and how they liked it. Hugh thinks that i spent to much on my family but I bought most things throughout the year and some i got for free the most expensive gift was my sisters nan. her was the crossstich of the Carston Alberta Temple. I had it already crossstiched but i needed to frame it and so i went to micheals in lethbridge. they did a great job but i could have had a better price. anyways it is done and they have it. it was so nice.

so we all had a great Christmas. We got the Wii and the kids are having so much fun with it. We can do it as a family and we have not stopped laughing the things that are kids do are so funny. Jamie is doing so well with being left handed that we can go to grammies and play with theirs. now that the big kids know what to do.

Off to finish cleaning. Hugh helped last night and did a great job now the rest of the house.

Here is the start of our Christmas Vacations But before it all starts this is what happened this week

This past week has been a non forgettable one. First Ruby and Cheryl where at mom and dads and we all could not wait to see them. But before we get to see them we had a very intresting beginning of the week.

Monday got up and got the two big kids off too school. Then got ready and go the othere three ready for going to town for their shots. Only two where getting them but we all had to go. so on the road by 8:30am get to town around 9am. I got the first one down who is our youngest Holly. she did really well did not cry that much. then came Jamie who is 4 years old. He started to cry not just cry but bawl because he did not want to get any needles. Then to my surprise Hugh show up which was a life saver because Jamie would not sit with me so Hugh held him. He had to get two so the nurse put them both in, in one arm. And that is just this morning. Then we go to the grocery store and buy supplies for baking christmas treats. yummy. And then we go home. it was cold that day i think when i was driving to town it was -35 but wiht the wind chill it was -47. Yah cold.

So we clean the house and then the other kids come home and Katelyn had a bloody nose. well the teachers at school did not seem to think that it was broken but i thought different. So i waited until hugh came home from work and told him. which katelyns nose was still bleeding. so he decided to take her in just in case. and sure enough it was broken. The swelling has gone down but what a day.

the rest of the week went fine. katelyn stayed home for one day and then went the next three days. because she did not want to miss the christmas concert and she also did nto want to miss her party at school . i went and helped in justins class and we did a red nose reindeer. turned out so cute and the kids had fun. well that was the most interesting week we had. we did get to see ruby and that was lots of fun to see her and auntie cheryl and we are happy that uncle justin got here safely here too.

the kids did wonderful at the christmas concert and they where so cute. i just cant believe that it is christmas already. but i am all done my shopping. spent a little more then i wanted to o but everything will work out. can not wait for everyone to open their gifts. so merry christmas to all and to all a great holiday.

Its begining to look like Christmas

I thought that I would show you all what my little village looks like on my piano. Two of my kids helped put it up and now they wont stop touching it. Well i hope the older ones will leave it alone. now i need to clean the rest of my house so i can get into the Christmas spirit. Later to day i am goingto my moms to wrap my kids presents becasue i am not going to get it done. if i dont go there to do it. And "Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas. i might do some baking later this week and then we are going to see the princess and the frog movie with the kids and my sister cheryl and her daughter ruby and our parents. cant wait . the kids cant wait either.

My fustration is on a altime high

LEt me begin by saying that Close to my heart is having a blow out and what makes me made is propay which is the company that is taking the credit cards from my website is not working so i have not been getting anyone ordering on my website. which i need the business so that ican make people happy. so i have sent all the papers that Propay needs but it still is not working and that is why iam so fustrated. i am right now on hold to see if my application has been processed and i am still waiting. i want to put in an order. so i just heard from them and they said that they will find out and call me when it will be processed. it has been three days and it should have taken 1-3days. and it has not. so what is up with that. it is not a aholiday down in the states so whats up? i am hoping it will be up and running because i have some orders to process for this great blow out which is a savings of 50%-80% off retail price and if you spend 150.dollars then you get $10 in shipping which is a great deal. and if you spend more the shippping stays the same. so i want it to work so i can email all the people and they can get an order in and ican make some money. it is such a great deal i wish it was working. so if it does then it is a merry little christmas miracle.

Yes i am going to get the photos up

so it has been a couple of days since halloween and i still have not gotten the pictures up. well i am hoping to have them up here in a couple of days. i am right now dealling with sick kids and trying to get ready for the business trade fair in Bow Island. so i have been busy and then i am so mad about the clinics for this H1N1 because i am going to have to wait a couple of more weeks to get my whole family to get it because only three of my kids are able to get it now and that is just not right i think that the family with kids who are 5 and under can get it but their older kids can get it too. like mine which are 7 and 6 who go to school and are exposed to other kids. so the government should rethink this plan because it just does not work for me or anyother families like mine. so that is what i think and i think that it stinks ....... but enough complaining . i have to say that my phone is working great and that telus did a great job getting it fixed. lets just wait unitl it rains or snow. i will let you know. so stay tuned and i will get those pictures up. they are so cute

Now that Halloween is done on to Christmas

Now that Halloween is done on to Christmas. Which i am done. Well i am done all the names that we pick in my family. which is nice. now i do not have to worry about it in December. The only person i have to worry about is hugh. i am not `sure what to get him because he always gets his own tools when there is a sale and then i dont know what to get him. any suggestions.

i get to sing christmas cards and i cant wait for the storys to be all christmasy . so i hope that everyone had a great halloween because we sure did but i am glad it is over and that i can put and hid chat later and email me with all the scrapbooking or card making needs or qquestoin you have.

Life had been busy way to busy

I just looked and relized that i have not written a blog for a long time. We are finally slowing down on the farm but for me iam running my son to school for three days a week which is busy. but i have been kept busy my mom and i have been sewing halloween costums which with out her i would not been able to get them done which i am truly greatful. The list of costums are a doctor, a super hero, and 50's girl with poddle skirt, a princess, a lamb, and raggiey ann and andy. yes hugh and i are raggiedy ann and andy which are so cool. they are not maded yet but will be next week. so we have 3 costums done and four more to go . which i got the hardest on done which was the lamb because of the material i used which was really hard to sew with. i borke so many needles it was not funny.

In other new we have boughten some land for our selves and we are deciding where to put the house and how big the house we want. but that is not happening right away . maybe in a year or two but we have land to build it on. which is so exciting. it is hard to imagine what it will look like after it is complete when all i see is land from mile ot mile. but hey it is ours and we are so happy. i am so tired of renting that it is not funny at all. but i need to go and check my pumpkin pies. happy thanks giving to everyone and to all that are reading.

We are into summer but whats up with the weather?

So this past week the kids well three of them where in swimming, the oldest he has swimming next week. so we are at swimming and it was so cold out side that i had to make hot chocolate for my kds when they got home. and it rained after most of the swimming lessons. so no swimming in the afternoon. which was no fun. but i need to buy a swimming suit before i go swimming. the kids all past so i bought the life gaurds some hot chocolate and donuts because they did a great job with the swimming lessons. and they thought that was so nice. so i will be busy next week but lets hope that it is warmer then.... it is warmer here on the week end but during the week whats up with that. i hope that we have good weather for bc because that would be a drag. anyways i got to run. i have to get my house in order. have a great summer.

So my back hurts

Yesturday I went early in the morning around 7am and went out to the garden and hoed it which now i am feeling because my back hurts and when i laugh i feel pain. and i still have to get the house cleaned and all that. which is not good. when i dont feel like doing it. any ways just thought i would share it with everyone.

Have you ever been scamed?

Lately i have been getting email that i am a person whos name came up to clam some money from someone who died in spain or other forgien countries. but now the scam (which i think it is) from Microsoft who is emailing me because my email address has been drawn for the 250,000 winning prize and that the former founder does this so that people will learn to use thein ternet more. so whats up with that and that i get a lap top for free. now i am not sure if that is true so i ahve been email ing then to see if i can get more information form them. so i will wait and see. because i am afraid to give them any imformation and get my identaly stole because of something i feel for. so if anyone has any informaiton on how to detect if it is a scam then let me know. and i am going to be changing my email address just because i dont want to do something stupid and then my life is up for sale to the highest bidder. well no a happy note. school is almost done and i cant wait my house will be a lot cleaner because i am not running all the time to town and all that for the schoool things. yah. have a peaaceful day. and try not to be scammed.

I need to make a choice 'To buy or not'

i am trying to clean my house

Bring on the mostiure

As a farmers wife i have come to love the raining/snowing days it means i can use the dryer with out any one saying other wise. which is good because then i get more things done. well been busy cleaning my house have gotten three rooms done this morning and i need to get my living room done and my kitchen before i take jamie to school which will be good. school is almost done and i am so happy but i will miss the time my kids have at school but it means we will be going camping soon and then school will be starting all over again. anyways i was happy to see rain for two days and so was hugh. it means we will have a good crop. not a wonderful fabulous crop just a good one. but we are not the only ones. well i am glad cheryl has done a new blog. thanks. well have agreat and sunny day hopefully it rains today. so that our garden will grow.

The weather out side is frightful but inside is so delightful

The weather out side here in southren alberta maybe a little frightening that we have missed summer and is now into winter but this past week we as farmers have been talking at how dry it has be come so when the weather man said that it was going to rain and snow this weekend we said, "BRING IT ON". and so the weather did and i am so happy because now we can have a crop instead of nothing. the crops where look pretty sad and that is not good for us as farmers because that is how we make things for you all to eat. and so we can have money to buy some things as well. i still have not planted my garden which is pretty sad but i do have my potatos in so we will have to plant the rest this week coming. school is almost done for the kids and that i can not wait for then i can sleep in and they can go to swimming lessons and we can hang out side and hang out at mom and dads house and roast hot dogs and we can roast marshmellows and play games and CHeryl and justin can come down and nan and taylor too with all their kids so the cuz can hang out.

also i am looking forward to having a break in driving my kids everywhere for school. my van needs a rest and i need to really get my house orgainzed for the next year which i think will be longer then is but i do find it has gone fast. my youngest is now 6 months old which i cant believe. cheryl you need to update your blog. i miss all your funny stories and tell us all bout calgary. and what you are up too oops i mean crossfield. well chat later and check out my website for june and the things you can get. katievos.myctmh.com. so check it out now.

so i am now 27

yes i had a birthday and all and that was all great but my day was just as the same as everyother day but the only differnce is that i am getting older on this day of mine. which was may 21. so hugh took me out to supper and it was nice to go with out any kids who would complain or cry for more chocolate milk., but we went in his truck and it felt like we were dating but we can go home and we have a house full of kids so that only lasted 2 hours then it was back to being mom and cleaner. my sister cheryl and my mom made my cake which was fabulous and it was even better 2 days later. well got to go and get my house clean for justins party. see you all soon

THE TRADE FAIR IN FOREMOST

I love going and perticapating in trade fairs and i like to look at things and iam a sucker for tupper wear because i love to use their stuff. so this year i thought that iwould cut out wood prodjects and i would sell them. well i made them and it took a long time and my mom helped which was great and all but i only sold one and it was the one that i never want to make again. all the other ones where so cute. so i am now stuck with some wood prodjects that i dont need i am going to keep them but i have extra ones of them. so if you want any i would happy to sell them to you. i will take pictures of them and put them on the blog. i make cards and i sold alot of them. so that was great i need tomake more so i am going to start soon and have lots at the trade fair. but i think i am going to go into the craft fair in bow island and also in medicine hat and maybe in lethbridge i might also look into the farmers market in lethbridge too. so who know i might beabel sell theese. they are so cute.well i was fustrated but i think christmas ones will be better selling. well have a great friday and long weekend. we get to see cheryl and justin cant wait. it has been a long time. i just thought that this poem works for all kinds of mom. you may be a mom for the first time or this might be your 5th or that your kids are all grown up and moved on. i want to tell my sisters what great moms they are and that their kids are so blessed to have them as their moms. they are both loving and caring people and their kids are always happy. i want to tell my mom that i am the best mom i am because of you mom. you show all of us how we should be as a mom and that our kids are the most important thing in our lives and that we need to show them how much welove them so to all the mom out their and to my family

Back in the rushing times

Yesturday i went to the denist and all was good got two fillings where not so good. was in there for a good 1hour 1/2. so it was a long time to sit there and smell my teeth being grinned. i better stop because some of you might not like the denist. well anyway i was at the denist and i then have to run to lethbridge and get my daughter her new glasses because she needed a back up pair because the other ones always broke. so i run there and run to micheals to get more paint for my wood prodjects and i will post pictures of them. they are going to sold at the trade fair that i am in. so i go there and get hugh some new runners which is another funny story which i will tell later. then i go and eat which is another one wis hsome one i knew was with me like cheryl she would have had a great laugh well we both of us would have. then i go to walmart becuase i have a bridal shower to go to and so i needed a gift and got that then i finally got to go home and i was pooped then i had to bring hugh supper out to the field. thats right we are in the field after a nice break anyways we got there and all and then the kids wanted to go for a ride and then i went and got them from the ride and then we finallly got them to sleep whcih was nice because it was befroe 9pm. most nights it is harder. and hopefully tomorrow i am going to be making my own spagetti sause and i will blog about that one too. hopefully it will turn out well i have to go and finish making cards for the trade fair too.

update on the house staying clean

my house has stayed clean. the back enterance is a little dirty and so i need to sweep it and make sure the shoes are in order and only one pair too. so that is all i am getting down the landry today so i am going to beable to work on both my spagetti sause and my wood prodjects so stay tuned.

LETS START A FAMILY BAND

Thats right you read right we are going to start our own family band. well we will be playing just for our family or for our selves. we just got a piano and the kinds love it . it just needs to get tuned and then it will be in good working order. the kids have already tried to play the piano. anyways i have been trying to play but it is hard when it is out of tuned. so if we become famous family band then we are all going to be invited to hear us. so now i will beable to get my kids to play something. the sound of a piano in our home really brings in the spirit. it was nice to hear the kids wanting to play but now they are fighting who gets to play it when. so that is not so fun.

so when we were telling the kids that we where getting a piano the kids where excited but they where more excited because their uncle justin plays the piano so lets hope that they can stay this enthused like this so they can get all the years needed to play the piano really well. and icant wait till that.

i think that i might take lesson too it is just i need to find some to teach all of us. maybe hugh will take lessons too. who knows.

i cant wait until cheryl and justin and ruby come and cheryl have fun at marthas too. i will tryto have fun at the denist. miss all of you.

friday night had some drama

this past friday night we had some drama and not the kind of drama of kids screaming and mad because they dont want to eat their supper no not that kind of drama. this drama is the one with blood. no my kids did not get into a fight with each other but with a bed frame. that right a bed frame. you read right the bed frame. my son jamie who just turned 4. he decided well his brother justin and him decided to jump from bed to bed. and then justin decided to move one bed matterss and that is when jamie decided to jump. and he said that he is spider man. i was just trying to feed holly just before i got the supper on the table so while i am doing feeding the little one, jamie hit his head. he came crying and i thought just a bump on his head but then i saw blood. his hand covered it and i just got worried. then isaw the big gash on his head. so i called to katelyn who frozen when i said that jamie is bleeding. then she did what i asked her to do which was get a wash cloth. then i put that on and while that was going on jamie is crying for a band aid. of all things and i said taht he needed more then that. so then i called hugh and told him to come home right now and he said he wil lbe there soon. i thought that he was still in town and so i started to get the kids ready and i told them to get their shoes on and katelyn said i dont have sock and i said just put somethign on and then hugh came home in record time i might add. but he was a mile a way. so that was good he took jamie in to the hospital and the total stitches that he got was 5 .so i am just wondering what will happen when he turns 8 i hope nothing to big and hurtful.

the next day we went to my mom and dads and he said that i was beeing spinder man okay no more action movies for him.

Trying to get kids to eat supper and not junk food.

To night i have made sloppy joes well most of my kids like it but i do have a picky eater and her name is katelyn. she wakes up from a long nap and is cracky and is stomping her feet and trying to get her way. well that does not work here in my house and she should know that but she is checking how fast i am going to let my gard down so she can get what she wants. she wants a wagen wheel and not eat her supper then she wants to eat yogart but i said she needs to eat her supper. what is a mom to do. the other kids did eat their food but if katelyn is trying to be the boss she wants everything her way. anyways i have won this battle because she is eating her supper and is not complaining. yah for mom and one point for mom

Trying to get kids to eat supper and not junk food.

I amitt i am not the best housecleaner.

Since Monday afternoon around 4pm i was cleaning my house. i just got tired of people stopping by and my house was embarssing. so i decided to clean it from top to bottom. so here is my story on the cleaning my house which took 2 days in total. i do not have pictures of the before but i am going to have pictures of the after. i am just embarssed of the before so i am not letting the whole world see my dirty house. anyways as i was saying i am not best house keeper. it is just not my thing to do and if i could do anything itwould be making crafts. i am really good at that and i know that is one of my talents but house cleaning is not. sometimes i am in the grove of house cleaning but it only last for a day. but this week it has lasted along time. i think it has something to do with that we are seeding our crops right now and i have togo and help bring meals out so i better have a clean house to do that.

Back to my story. So Monday at 4pm the kids come home so i decided to do one room at a time. that is always my hubbies suggestion to do. so i took it this time .wow it was really fast in getting my house clean. so the first room i cleaned was my kids. which took about 30 minutes to do. i picked up every thing then put clean cloths aways made beds (which hugh made) and then vaccumed. remember i also had all 5 kids home too. so that room was clean so i shut the door so i knew it was clean. then i went to the bath room and got that all cleaned it took longer but it was done in 45-50 minutes i am nto sure did not look at the clock taht much. so i shut that door a) because it was clean b) because i wanted the clean floor to get dry with out little foot prints on it.

the third room i did before supper was the other bed room we have but i am waiting for hugh to make some more beds hopefully this summer when seeding is done and harvest has not started yet. cleaned all the toys and vaccumed. then i emptyed the vacum so that it was clean to vacum the hallway which was my nexted place to clean. so i got that all done. we ate supper inbetween the last bed room and the hallway.

the next room was the back enterance i cleaned that one while i was telling the kids about keeping the house clean for family home evening then i let them go out side while i fiinished cleaning it. i washed the walls and got the spider webs that must have been there for the past 8 years. it was that bad, anyways did that got it all clean and washed and it took a hour to do. then the kids went to bed. then i decided hugh is not home but the kids are in bed so i decided to clean the kitchen. which took longer. i got the dishes all done and the ones that fit in the dish washer then they got on. i cleaned my stove and the counters the table and swepted the floor when hugh came home. the house smelled like pine sal. it was so nice. anyways it was about 11pm and hugh asked if i was going to finish in the morning i said that all i have to do is the floor to wash. andso i went to bed.

the next morning i got the kids up at 7am so they could get dressed and so they could watch some cartoons before the bus came. then the two oldest went off to school then i got the other 3 watching cartoons. so i decided to wash the floor and while i was doing that my house stayed clean. it seems when i am in thecleaning mood my kids are in the descructive mood and my clean house is destoryed. so i got the floor done. then i got to work on the living room/computer room and got it done just before i had to go and take jamie to school. so the only room left to clean was my bed room and i got it done last night.

hughs and my room took the longest because there was so much of the things that i needed to put a way. so it took about 2 hours to do but before hugh and i went to bed it was done. so my whole upstairs is done. i am so impressed with my self so lets hope it last for a whole week. i will keep you posted

This is my kitchen. it is not the biggest kitchen but it works. hugh made the chairs but the table we got at an auction which we paid $5.for,8 years ago.

this is my back enterance. it is so much neater now then it was before.here is my bathroom the only one in this house. it is nice and clean. it even been through three baths and it is still clean.here is the kids bed room and they have even kept it clean. wow is all i can say and hugh made those two beds he has three more but dont they look nice. he is so good that everything he doesmy hall way it is nice and clean as well . it is nice when i have to get up in the middle of the night

everything smells like cleaner which is good because then it all smells clean.

Have you had those days that you want something to cook really fast

i am having one of those days. first all of my kids where up before 8 am and when there is no school for any of them those are my days to sleep in but that has nto happened this week not even one day. any ways i am making supper for the field and i am making a roast and potatos but the potatos are taking the longest time for them to cook and i want to feed my kids supper before i go and i need to go and bring it to the field by 6:30pm which is in 25min so i am hoping that my potatos are cooked here soon. because i will be very mad. and the guys will be hungry and my kids will be in the dessert soon and will not want to eat supper. i have two of them a sleep one that lives right now on milk so she is fine and the other who had two plates of stake for lunch which i hope will eat and

Now on to the blog that i wanted to write like 30 minutes ago. My kids have been bugging me about the Easter Bunny coming to our house and bringing them candy like he does. i can not say much about what i want to write because my son justin is reading it right now. so i might have to tell you the story about the E.B. so that he does not get sad. well anyways in my families house when i was a kid and cheryl will know this to is that the Easter bunny came on saturday because he knew we went to church well, i was not going to buy goodies for the easter bunny but i happen to be in town and they where 1/2 price so i thought what the heck why not. so this morning which is monday my daughter wakes up and asked if the easter bunny had come to our house. i for got to get the stuff out and so i said i had for gotten to give the goodies to the easter bunny so he could hand them out. so i went down stairs and wrote their names on the goodies and said that the easter bunny came and lefted them down stairs by mistake and they where thrilled that he came. which made me happy but i hope they do not find out for a long time which i will tell them this story and i think and hope that they will laugh at it. well got to run my kids are getting or wanting supper. so i will blog later.

Look at the best ligthen mcqueen cake ever

my third childs birthday is next weds.april 15 and so i went to micheals and decided to buy this cake pan. i am parent helper this thursday in his class which is for his birthday so i thought i would make a cake. this is the only time that we can bring unhealthy snacks to school in the class room there is only two boys in his class him and another one so i think that the other boy will love to have this cake .. maybe some of the moms might want me to make cakes for their kids. who knows but i know that it is fun and i love doing it for my kids. so i will be make two of this cakes in a weeks time and so we will all have to compare them both which one idid better at. anyways i had to put it in the deep freezer because the kids would have eatten it before it even got to the class room. so i was not taking chances because it took me an hour to ice it. which i think is fast for something like this. but i just love it. it has been the best one i have done. maybe i should get into doing this for a liveing...... thinking about it na i think i will stick to it for just my kids and maybe my sisters kids. who knows. anyways. hope you like it and i will tell you how it taste, my son will be 4 wow. well it is late and i tdont think the picture worked,

OUR SWEET DEAL.

you know when your husband is a dutch man when he:

sees a deal on renchs and buys 10 of the same one and says you never know when one breaks
goes to an auction and tells you he is not planning on buying anything and then comes home with a truck load of stuff that you really dont need.
when he is cheap on his clothing and buys expensive tools.
when you are in walmart and need to get diapers and get the ones on sale. to him it is a sweet deal. let me tell you about this sweet deal and the amount we bought. we are in taber when we had a denist appt. which went well then we went to walmart and i said to hugh we need diapers for holly. so we go to the baby section and get the diapers so i said they do not have size 2 which holly needs. so we get size 3 and hugh asks how many boxes i said just two because that would be 400 diapers. which would last a long time. then he decides to buy all the size 3 which ends up being 4 boxes and then he goes on and gets size 4 and that is 2 boxes because that is all they had and then size 5 and size 6. which i cant remeber how many of those but we just spent 250 dollars on diapers. which will last us for i am not sure how long but long enough that i gave my mom and dad a box of size 3 for nan and taylor so that they could get on this sweet deal. the SWEET DEAL was 31.00 for these boxes 6 dollars cheaper then the othere boxes of the same brand which is huggies. well if you are going to walmart and need diapers do not take my husband he will buy the whole store because it is a sweet deAL. MY HUSBAND IS A BIG DEALS GUY. he loves deals. now dont get me wrong i like deals too like 4 dollars here 5 dollars there but i dont try to buy the whole store. he also loves rainchecks because he can go in anytime and get that same price. he is so funny. so i am sure if there is going to be a disater i will be safe from not running out of diapers. we now have almost a year surpply of diapers for one kid. great. i hope we get to go through them all. so that is my sweet deal for the week . stay tune for more sweet deals that i find in the coming weeks

THE MOVIE I REALLY LIKE

So as all of you know that Twlight has come out on video. Wionderful!!!! Faboulous!!!!!!!!!
i have to say that i have not read the books. a shocker right. but when you have 5 kids there is not a lot of time to read anything. even my scriptures it gets touchy some times. so i have not found the time toread the books. which i think if i have time towatch tv or movies i can read a book. anyways so we go to taber and we are done at the denisit and everything is good there. we go to walmart and i was getting stuff on my list everything was there, the movie Bolt for the kids, stuff to make a blanket, diapers,etc. but at the bottom of my list there was the movie Twlight. but i could not find it anywhere and the walmart in taber is not big at all. so i go and find a sales person and they said that they are sold out. great the one movie i really want and they are sold out. so i decide to ask when they might get another shipment. well they where not sure now i am really sad .. i can rent it and they are all gone. so when i get home i decide to call lethbridge and medicine hat walmarts and guess what they all had them. i call hugh who was in medicine hat and he says do i have to get the movie and i said yes because i liked it and you bought Australia movie with hugh jackman. anyways so he gets it for me. wow it is somuch better the second time i really like it. so now i think i am going to read the books. can wait. i understand that they will be different but how can you get the whole book in a movie with out getting people bored. which i would not . i love these kind of movies. anyways if you are thinking of getting the movie. get it. it is worth it. i have to recommend bolt too it is good one you can sit with the prophet and still feel good. well anyways have a great day.

the best enrichment ever

we just had another great enrichment night. i am the second consultor in the relief society in our ward and so i am in charge of the enrichment nights. so as me and my other ladies who work with me we decided on a country fair which was alot of fun. we dressed in jean and or pioner clothing. so i get all dressed up in pioner clothing which i had at trek a long time ago. and even dressed holly up and i was the only one who really dressed up others did but i was all dected out. i dressed holly in a bunny dress the my mother made fore a bunny which i helped. do you remember cheryl???


anyways we had lots of tickets so that you could buy your dessert like an auction. it was great the games that we had so that you could win more tokens or tickets. we had hourse stick races. triva of the relief society,penny toss which i am going to do with my kids who will love it. , name the relief society general presdients,candy in a jar guess how many, donut eatting contest. hourse shoe game too. it was lots of fun. everyone got into it and it was a great night. we had lots of fun and wished all the other ladies from the ward where there. we did have a good turn out which was good. well i need to go and make some more flowers but i cant remember the other post that i was going to post. oh well

here is the first of three blogs today.

have you ever had those kind of days that you would like to forget or had never ever happened well that is mine today. one i wish i had my camera so i could take some pictures. lets start today at when it all started.

6am hugh gets up and goes to work. he has finally is getting his own breakfast or it just might be taht i have been up with kids during the night.
6:31am katelyn wakes up and informs me that she needs to go to the bathroom and then process to tell me that her ear hurts and when are we going to see the doctor.
7am now i have been up for a good 1/2 hour i start getting justins lunch ready i would be getting katelyn but she is sick as i have stated up at around 6:30am

7:15 am i am trying to get justin up for school and not trying to wake up the other 3 (katelyn is still up and she says she can not sleep anymore)

8am justin is finally got up and is on the bus. which is good he has missed tomany day of school. 2 to be extact.

8:30am all the other kids get up and i am ready for bed again. i am gettiing katelyn and karla breakfast and jam my little finger in the dish wash. dont ask me how but i manage todo that. anyways now i have a blood blister on my finger which hurts.

9am i call the doctors to see if i can get katelyn in. yes 11:45am i can be home for justin who gets out of school around 2pm
9:15am i am on the internet which seems to not be working on our home computer and i did not want to go down stair to get the lap top. so i waited it out for a good 30mins which i long when you have a whole house to clean. so 30mins pass and now i am getting fustrated but still not wanting to travel all the way down starts to get the lap top. so i decide to wait it out and make some flowers for the hats i am going to sell. which are so cute. so i am doing that and waiting.

10am i finally decide to go and get the lap top as i am doing this jamie decides to follow me and ask for some paper, he only asked for one so when i give him about 5 he only takes one and tells me he does not want the others which i said why not and then he decides to throw all the rest of them on the floor well i was nto happy so i pick them up and bring them up for the girls. then i get the computer up and katelyn asks me why i am using theis and i tell her that i need to pay the bills so they get paid.

1015 i am done paying bills which took less time but i think this blog is geting so long. so i am speeding it up.

1030 am i am telling the kids to go and get dressed. and i need to go to the doctors. i am looking up stuff for close to my heart which i sell. get scrapbooking stuff and stamping stuff. we make life easy. and was pricing out stuff that i would like to buy. anyways.

1045 i look at the clock and relize that i need toget going if i am going to be there on time for the doctor. so i get the kids in the van and i get goingto town. then half way there the kids say they are hungry so i figure if i get to town at 20 after 11 i will go to get some donut holes at rolling pin bakery. best place. so i get in there and i order three dozen donut wholes and get them in three bags so the kids have their own. great idea.
1145 i get to the doctors holly gets hungry and so i feed her the kids are playing and having a great time with their donuts. then the lady at the desk calls us in and i am still feeding holly so i have to stop feeding holly and take the kids. well we get there and katelyn has an ear infection and karla needs to drink juice and have rest. yah right not will a 21/2 year old. well anyways i go and get to medicine. so wego to the grocery store and the kids insits on haveing the small baby carts that the store has so i have one and katelyn and jamie are sharing. karla is with me. so it is dollar days in IGA and so i got some stufff that was on sale.

so i am leaving town and decide to call hugh to tell him i am leaving town. i ask if he needs anything and he says no. well we get off and then 2 minutes later he calls and says to go and get the van washed which i did not want too. anyways i get there to get the van washed and while i was gettgin the door up jamie gets his fingers hurt in the window in our van i am like not today. that is all i need so i go and check what has happened and his finger is hurting but all right. so i go and get the van in. and start to wash it jamie is stillin the front set and playing with the lights then he starts to open the door so i go over by now i have had half of the van cleaned. i tell him to keep the door shut. then all of a sudden there is water going on my legs and in my face and all i can see is a hole in the hose so i ahve to stop the water which i had just put in another toonie. so i go into the place and tell the owners and then they came out and i tried to find the hole but could not. then she asked if i put in any money and i said yes a toonie, so they give me back my toonie and tells me to go to the other stall. okay. so i go and quickly was the van because i do not want it to happen aagin. i am wet from the knees down and so it is no fun. well i leave forgetting that i promisedto rent some movies because it was friday. so i remember when i get home but the kdis have not remember.

240pm it is now this late in the day as you can see i had a not so great day but not so bad aleast i can laugh at this day and i hope ican laugh at the next days.

now i need to go and wash the walls that my kids decieded to color on with markers. and they colored their faces as well. karla says pretty right mom. all i could do was laugh and take pictures but katelyn and karla would notlet me take their whole faces. good thing i bought the washable markers, who ever invetned those are great and smart parents

This week of sick kids

i thought that our sickness was going away until this week where i have 4 out 5 kids sick. thank goodness i am not sick but i have my two boys who have an ear infection and also strep throat. so both on medicine. and then i have the 2 older girls sick with running noses and coughs that i thought only smokers had. so it is a orange drink family now this week and not chocolate milk. so just wait until next week and i could be talking about me being sick again which is not fun at all.

so needs to say taht i have them all at home and my home is a disaster because i have about 4 hours of sleep from all the hackers in my house. i was up almost every hour and not with a new born but with the other kids. i would go and cuddle with one in one room just thinking the others have finally gone to sleep then about an hour later i am up getting drinks and then cuddleing with that kid then i finally get to sleep and my clock in my room says 6:51 am and i have only 9 minutes until my alarm goes but i decided to have it shut off and called the bus driver so they know the kids are not on. well to my disappointment they were already gone and so i had to get up just before it came to our house and tell me that the kids where not on. i am hoping that the medicine will work and the two kids who go to school on a daily base will go so i get a couple of hours to nap with the other sick one. my piece of advice wash your hand always. well igot to go becaus the one who is not on medicine is bugging me for some paper and a pen to write. which i need to get. well everyone stay healthy.

Why i should not stay up after 8pm

i felt it to day. i should not stay up after 8pm. i just could not get up this morning. i had to drag my self out of my warm bed to get my kids out of their own bed. so they could go to school. and then i had to do some stuff on the internet then i need to run to town because my hubby wanted more fruit to make his own fruit juices. which i am not sure how they will turn out but i hope that they turn out to be good or i will have wasted so much money on stuff that no one liked.

i also want to thank cheryl for making those cute winter hats for us this christmas and then gave me the idea to make them because last night i got my first order and i am so excited. so i had to go out and buy more stuff to make them which i got some cool colors. so any one wants them the are so cute. so help me find a name for them i am thinking K and C inspirations. what do you think cheryl? let me know. they are so cute and cheryl says she is never creative well i am giving her credit for them because she thought of it.


happy birthday to natalie who is an inspiration to me too and i cant wait for her to write books too so i can read them because they willbe good. glad she came down to mom and dads so we could see them when dad was gone on business. anyways have a great day and hope all goes well. but i need to finish cleaning the house so i can go out to a date with my hubby so we will see how far i will get with 5 kids. got to run love all the readers out there who check my blog somedays it is interesting and some of mine might be boring but i will have more to write when my life settles down.

The day we went to ag expo and the movie Bolt

I will start my blog by explaining what Ag Expo is. it is a place where all different kinds of business get to gether in a big building in lethbridge. and it is for farmers. so it is sorta boring but we try to go every year with hugh and us the kids. this time we went on the friday and it was fun. but it was a long day for the kids . they enjoyed running upt o the new equipment and trying to drive it. the boy espically liked it. but by 3:30pm the kids had enough and i had enough of running after kids who did not listen which i wished they had. so we decided to leave.

we told the kids if they did not listen we would not go to the movie. well they listen and we went to the movie Bolt in 3D. which was totally cool. i just loved it. both hugh and i had never been to a 3D movie so it was new for all of us. all the kids sat and watched. jamie our third did not like to wear the glasses he said that ,"it was scary." so he watched it blurry. which was to bad. but all the other kids wore them. even hugh wore them and he looked silly. which i had to laugh everytime i looked he way. so with 5 kids there i have to say that was our highlight of the day.

it was hard for the kids to get up in the morning today for school. we lost that precouis hour of sleep it just disappeared which i miss. anyways when i woke up this morning i could not believe it was 7am when it is so dark out side. i wished i could have slept longer. anyways i need to have a nap or go to bed earlier. well nothing else to write i am going to put my first picture on here and it is my hair cut. so i hope you like it.

The Best Hair Cut ever

This past thursday i went to get my hair cut . the last time that i went was oct 1 2008 so i was so due to have a hair cut. it was great. hugh watched the kids and i went to the hair dresser and got it cut short. i have 5 kids so i need something that i can wash put some hair product in and go. that is my life always on the go. so when i got home i thought that the kids would see that i got a hair cut . but no such luck. they did not even notice. which is to bad. but when i finally told them how they liked my hair cut katelyn said why would i cut my hair. and i told her that i needed one so i did not look like a shaggy dog. anyways i have been looking into getting my hair dressing and you know what. it is only going to cost between 5000.00 and 7000.00 dollars to go and 9 months or 37 weeks which will be fun. i am thinking that i might start next september and go until june. i will still have 2 kids in school but i will have also a 1 year old who will not be nursing. which will be good. i wish i could start now because that is all i have been dreaming about is cutting peoples hair and owning my own salon. but i have not dreamed about cutting the stars hair yet. that must be when i really started to go to school . i am excited but also i am scared. i am going to be the oldest person there not counting the teachers. anyways i will keep you up to date on how it is going when i start and i hope i dont make anymistakes. then i will cut all of my families hair and all their dies too. cant wait. anyways the week is in full swing now that the kids are in school but both jamie karla and i where tired because we all had naps today whichi for me i think i felt like i slepted only 20 mins but was two hours. it is like i closed my eyes and i was out. i was so tired. anyways i am better now and i need to get supper going and get the kids ready for family home evening. we have been doing it steady for two months so i am not going to break our streak even hugh has been asking about it. so it is going well. i will tell you all about it tomorrow.

today i am calling it a sick day

i am feeling a lot better but my kids are now all sick. they are all at home from school. well today i normally have only two off to school but they are all sick. the field trip to the post office was good. i had my baby in her snuggly and with two blankets on her and my big coat we walked to the post office which is not to far from the school which is nice. anyways there sure was a lot of snow in the town and the gravel roads where no so great. so we had fun there my family we do not get our mail and this post office. in another town we do but my parents do so i showed my daughter where their mail box was it was so cool of how they worked in there and gets our mail to the right people. it was fun. but i think the kids where more excited to see the baby there then anything. she is always the life of the party. she is sleeping now and so the other kids are watching a movie which has given me some quite time for my self which i wish i could sleep. but oh well if i am feeling better i better get some house work down because i have not done any for at least two days. but i do get the dishes down so i can have bowls for breakfast for the kids in the morning. it was nice that i did not have to get up with any of them for school i needed to sleep in. i think that it is still snowing here it reminds me of Christmas because we had lots of snow and cold temps. so that is what i think today reminds me of. hopefully i can feel better because i need to get a hair cut tomorrow and i cant wait. we had fun yesterday and we visited with my mom and dad and had pizza which was really good. well better run and finally do something. have a fabulous day.

this is going to be quick

this blog is going to be quick because i have to go down to foremost and go to a Field trip with Katelyn's kindergarten class. so it should be fun. and i need to remember batteries for the camera so i can take photos of this fun event. i am feeling better but i do have a doctors appt. to day so hope fully i can really feel better. well i go to run. i will post more hopefully tonight of the fun field trip i will be on.

help i am sick

i have been sick now today with a fever. i only had three kids at home and hugh. who is another kid. anyways , i finally feel better so i thought that iwould write another blog. it has been a long day that my kicthen has not changed and i need to make supper which i dont feel like it. i watched some of a movie but fell asleep so i could get better. but i had to get up and get the kids off the bus. i went and took my third child to his speech lesson and he does not have school tomorrow. yah ican sleep and really get better. my face is all read and i really dont feel like cleaning but i have too. i have to get better so that i can go to katelyns kindergardens feild trip which i need to be at the school around ten. i will take photos and post some of them. she is totally excited and then i need to drop jamie off to school which he is normally on tuesday but not this week which i think someone is looking out for me. well anyways i need togo and make supper. have a great day. it is getting cold out here. now justin is not feeling well and holly was such a good baby today. which i needed her to be. which my sister natalie says i have angel babys. which she is sorta right. now i need togo because my kids are bugging me for candy worms. what i life.

the life with 5 kids can be a bit interesting

I thought that i would try to expain what my life is like with 5 kids who are the best. but can be interesting. i have some well all are very independant and sometimes to much. i have a 2 year old who wants to go to school as much as her brother and sister goes but loves to go to grannies house. also i have a 6 1/2 year old who knows alot about computers which is not good for him because he does things to it that i need to figure out so i can fix them back to the way both his dad and i can use. their dad is not very computer related and has a hard time to figure it out but get him to fix a car motor and he is right where he is supose to be and i dont understand what he sometimes says about parts and how they work together. i like to scrapbook and i have a little 5 year old girl who is just as girly girl as any one in the world she loves to scrapbook and make cards. espically when i am making cards for other people she is always right there with me making her own creation too.

just as i am trying to explain my wonderful children two come up crying because no one is sharing. i know this is just a phase of life but it seems a really long phase some days. i know that i wish for this moments to be here for ever that i can take them back so this blog is like a journal that everyone can read about my life and struggles with a family of 7. when most times i am home with all of them and trying to sort out the problems that are not really that hard to solve.

so where was i when i was side tract by my kids. i was taking about scrapbooking. it is a good thing that i sell scrapbooking and stamping stuff or i would be up a creek with no paddle. also with all this caous in my house the little 3 month old is just sleeping well. like it is so quite in my house but it is not. she can fall asleep in loud noises but if it is quite like amouse in the house she is not so easily a sleep she is a wake, oh well i guess i need tokeep the kids up so she can go to sleep and have them screaming at the top of their longs so she will fall asleep. well i better run. as i said before i need to clean my house and to get supper on the table but first the table needs to be cleared. well chat later. maybe monday it all depends on my busyness. my life is so busy. but i love it.

the start of today

well i was reading my sisters blog and thought that i would start my own blog because some times i can really type fast and i can put my thoughts on faster. today is the first day for me to blog which is so cool. cheryl is my inspirations and so is kim hughes which i love her blogs they are so funny. anyways i woke up by my 5 year old daughter who could not find the remote to the tv so she could watch cartoons at 7am. then i went to make her breakfast and then i had three other shadows behind me wanting the same thing so i decided to get them all feed and then my stomach said i am hungry too so i had to feed me as well. then i thought i would check my email to see if i was the life of the emails but to my disappointment i got none. oh well maybe tomorrow. then after doing that i could hear the tv with no sounds of cartoons on and i went to check and the kids had played with the remote so now it does not work so hugh was in the city so i called him to get a new remote which he got. my hero. anyways they are now playing games on the tv which i get a quite time to my self. i would love to go and have a nap but supper needs to be made here soon for the 4 little munkins and the littlist does not need anything. i think that she is finally a sleep.
